The Mighty Millie Popsicle Project
The Mighty Millie Popsicle Project began in honor of our precious daughter, Millie. She was diagnosed overnight with rhabdomyosarcoma and fought for ten months. Millie was beating it so quickly and beautifully, and we were almost to the finish line of treatment. Until suddenly, the treatment wasn't effective anymore and our world turned upside down again. Millie was called home in February 2021, and we are devastated and broken wide open. As a family, we are striving to make an impact for other families going through this horrific fight.
One of Millie's favorite things was popsicles. It was often a moment of joy in the hospital despite everything that she was enduring. When we needed one the most, the hospital didn't have any popsicles on hand. We learned that the popsicle supply was left to donors to provide. We decided that those freezers would never go empty again. We started donating popsicles as a family, and now our community has rallied in strength across the country to donate funds to provide popsicles to as many pediatric cancer units that need them. We’re committed to offering organic, no added sugar, dye-free popsicles that taste delicious. (Also free of top 8 allergens) Our project is quickly expanding as we are now providing popsicles to multiple hospitals!
Our hope is that these popsicles are made possible for children (and their families) as freely as possible: upon arrival to treatment, during a scary moment, after a moment of courage, for hydration, a moment of celebration - truly ANY time a child wants one! We can only imagine the difference this would have made for our daughter to have during treatment.
Thanks to the support of our incredible community, this project is now available at multiple hospitals - and expanding this very minute!! With your help, this project will continue to grow even more this year!
