RACE DAY INFO
Team Miles for Millie,
We are so honored and excited to see you all on Saturday morning. Race day information was sent from Sarcoma Foundation of America (via email) earlier this evening. The message contains specifics about Saturday’s race: the detailed schedule, where to park, what to bring, etc. We ask that you please read it thoroughly. CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDERS, TOO!
*** There are helpful maps included in the link at the bottom of this message, so please make sure to check them out!
Please wear your Mighty Millie or Miles for Millie shirts on race day. If you don’t have a shirt, please wear YELLOW in honor of our girl.
I will be picking up the race packets on Friday night, including your t-shirts and race bibs. This means that you can check-in with ME at 8:00AM on Saturday morning. You will find me near the stage at Suwanee Town Center– look for a table with a RAINBOW balloon.
A full schedule outline is located in the email from SFA (sent earlier this evening); overall, the event will take place from 8:00AM - 11:00AM. Please plan accordingly :)
If you aren’t participating in the full 5K, we ask you to support the rest of our teammates as they walk/run. We encourage you to bring your loudest cheering voice and whatever else you’d like to support our Miles for Millie team.
PLEASE PLAN TO STAY until the end of the race and the closing ceremony. We have a gift for each one of you, to be given out after the closing ceremony. Please do not leave before receiving your gift from me! Hang around by our team after the closing ceremony and we will distribute them– a small gesture of our deep, deep gratitude.
From Sarcoma Foundation of America: “We will have a Wall of Hope and Remembrance where you can hang photos or notes about your loved ones. We recommend bringing a copy of your photos to hang.”
*It would mean the world to us if you would bring a photo, note, or memento that represents Millie to hang on the wall of hope and remembrance.
It is critical that we spread awareness of this event far and wide, as funding from this race supports sarcoma research, education, and advocacy. We want to spread awareness so that others will participate in the years to come, to help fund a CURE for sarcoma. We ask that you would share photos about your race experience and use some of the following tags on social media:
#MightyMillie #MilesForMillie @mightymillie
@curesarcoma #RTCSAtlanta #curesarcoma
If you are not on social media, please email your photos to atlantartcs@curesarcoma.org and they will post them for you!

I can’t express how much it means to me that you have signed up for this race in honor of Millie. As you know, she continues to be the most special Light in this world. We will love her, grieve her, and fight for her forever. TOGETHER, FOREVER, WE FIGHT!
Sincerely,
Kathleen Murray aka Millie’s Aunt “Khaks”
