Large Toiletry Bag Donation Drive for CURE

From CURE Childhood Cancer, “In honor of Mighty Millie, Savanna and friends donated 364 fabulous toiletry bags for CURE’s patients and families. Millie’s community of supporters really outdid themselves with this labor of love!

Unexpected or longer than anticipated hospital stays frequently happen during cancer treatment. That’s why these bags are so important as they sit waiting for them should they forget or run out of something they need.”

“Today is the day! We loaded up David Hejnas’ truck and I’ll be dropping off 364 (yes, 364!) toiletry bags off at CURE Childhood Cancer!” said Savanna Hejnas.

From Kathleen Murray, “Yesterday we experienced love in action.Through a mission led by Savanna and David Hejnas, hospital toiletry bags were filled in honor of our #MightyMillie. For those who have been following and supporting Savanna’s efforts, we thank you tremendously.

Children with cancer and their families often have clinic or ER visits that result in unplanned hospital stays. The bags filled yesterday will be given to CURE Childhood Cancer to distribute to families who have to stay overnight in the hospital unexpectedly, without the essentials they need. Claire, Nick, and Millie have personally been the recipients of toiletry bags like these, so it is an honor to give back to other families in this way, forever shining Millie’s light.

On behalf of Claire, Nick, and the entire Mracek/Miller/Murray clan, THANK YOU to everyone who donated, supported, and participated in this effort. Thank you to Savanna and David Hejnas for your hearts of action and service. #MightyMillie
