Our precious Millie has been diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of pediatric cancer.
For weeks, we thought we were battling an extreme middle ear infection. After various medications and several ear tube procedures, Millie's symptoms worsened and left doctors continuously perplexed. We had a CT, MRI, various scans, and a biopsy to take a deeper look. The doctors found a malignant tumor growing at the base of her skull, tangled up in several cranial nerves. After more scans, we discovered more evidence of disease in her lungs as well.
She has been diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, which is a pediatric cancer that must be treated promptly and aggressively with chemotherapy and radiation. We begin our fight on June 3rd. We are working with a team at the CHOA Aflac Center at Scottish Rite.
We are heartbroken in every way. But, through Christ's promise and strength, we RISE UP with our MIGHTY MILLIE to BEAT THIS.
We ask for your prayers for our girl, her team, and our family as we navigate this unexpected chapter.
Cancer won't win. Mighty Millie will.
