Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in Pictures - September 2025
Thank you for shining with us all September long. From city halls to hospital halls, your support brought small moments of big joy and pushed research forward.
Childhood Cancer Awareness Month Proclamations
Cities across Metro Atlanta and the State of Georgia stood with us by proclaiming September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. These moments brought visibility, honor, and hope to kids and families fighting cancer.

Shine Gold Kickoff
We launched the month in Marietta surrounded by music, community, and joy. Together we lit the spark that carried through all of September.
Popsicle Stands
Neighbors turned sidewalks into places of generosity by hosting Mighty Millie Popsicle Stands. Every pop sold created small moments of big joy and pushed research forward.
Night of Gold
Candles and luminaries lined neighborhoods as families honored children whose stories inspire us. It was a powerful reminder that no one fights alone.
Mighty Millie Mini Market
The Mini Market brought neighbors together for an afternoon of shopping, music, and joy in support of kids fighting cancer.
Advocacy and Research in Washington DC
Nick Mracek headed to Washington DC to meet with congress members and other childhood cancer organizations to advocate for more efforts on a national level.
Dr. Jeffrey Toretsky, MD with Georgetown University invited us to tour their facilities and hear about their findings around new ways to attack sarcoma cancer cells.
State of Sarcoma
The Mighty Millie Foundation helped the Rhabdo Coalition host the State of Sarcoma session at Curefest in Washington DC. Families and researchers sat down together for an open conversation about progress and hope. This gathering built connection and sparked momentum for more grassroots funding for more effect, less toxic treatment options.
