Privacy Policy
Mighty Millie Foundation, Inc.
Effective date: October 6, 2026
Mighty Millie Foundation respects the privacy of our donors, families, volunteers, partners, and website visitors. This policy explains how we collect, keep, use, and share information through our website, communications, fundraising activities, and Childhood Cancer Resource Guide.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when you donate, register for an event, subscribe to updates, volunteer, request assistance, or contact us. This may include:
Your name, email address, mailing address, and phone number.
Your organization and relationship to the Foundation.
Donation amounts, dates, recurring giving information, and transaction records.
Event registrations, volunteer interests, communication preferences, and messages you send us.
Please avoid sending medical records or sensitive information about a child unless we specifically request it for an appropriate purpose.
How We Use and Keep Contact Information
We keep contact information to maintain relationships with our supporters and community. We may use it to:
Send donation acknowledgments and receipts.
Share Foundation updates, fundraising opportunities, and event information.
Coordinate volunteer activities, partnerships, and programs.
Respond to questions and support requests.
Maintain donation records and meet accounting and reporting obligations.
Contact information and donation records may be stored in Givebutter and other services we use to manage our operations and communications.
You may unsubscribe from fundraising or promotional emails using the unsubscribe link provided or by contacting us. We may still send donation receipts or other messages necessary to administer your transactions or registrations.
Donations and Givebutter
We use Givebutter to accept donations, manage fundraising campaigns, and maintain donor and contact records.
When you donate through Givebutter, we may receive information such as your name, contact details, donation amount, transaction history, and any messages or preferences you provide.
Payment credentials are collected and processed by Givebutter’s payment processing providers. Givebutter states that it does not directly collect or store full payment card numbers, bank account numbers, or other raw payment credentials.
Givebutter also collects and uses information for its own platform operations under its policies. This policy does not replace Givebutter’s privacy policy or the policies of its payment providers.

If a campaign allows public donor recognition, review your visibility and anonymity options before submitting your donation.
Childhood Cancer Resource Guide
The Childhood Cancer Resource Guide is a plugin that helps caregivers explore resources through ChatGPT. You may share your city and state and the type of support you need to receive more relevant information.
The plugin’s current package contains instructions only. It does not include a Foundation-operated database, donation system, or tool that sends your conversation to the Foundation. Using the guide does not automatically add you to our contact list.
Your use of ChatGPT is subject to OpenAI’s privacy policy and your account’s data settings. Avoid entering medical records, financial account details, or identifying information about a child when a general description will work.
If you contact the Foundation for help with the guide, we may retain your message and contact information to respond and address your feedback.
Website Cookies and Third-Party Services
Our website and embedded services may use cookies and similar technologies to operate, remember preferences, and collect information about website usage. This may include browser and device information, IP addresses, and pages visited.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings and any cookie controls available on the website. Disabling cookies may affect some features.
Links and embedded tools may take you to services operated by other organizations. Their privacy policies apply to information collected through those services.
How Information Is Shared
We may share information with service providers that help us process donations, maintain records, host our website, send communications, and operate our programs.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Any additional sharing for public recognition, family stories, or other purposes should be explained when the information is requested.
Retention and Security
We retain information as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including maintaining supporter relationships, administering programs, and meeting legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your Choices
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we maintain about you, or to ask that we stop sending promotional communications.
Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, or operational purposes. Requests concerning information held independently by Givebutter or OpenAI should also be directed to those providers.
Children’s Information
Our website and Resource Guide are intended for adult caregivers, supporters, and community members. Children should not submit personal information directly.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate permission, please contact us so we can review and address it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services and practices change. The effective date above will reflect the latest version.
