Light Up the Night
September 17th, 2022
Join us as we light up the night sky on Saturday, September 17th, 2022 in honor of #mightyMillie and all of the bravest, tiniest warriors fighting unthinkable battles against pediatric cancer. It will take all of us to raise a greater awareness that currently there is not nearly enough funding for pediatric cancer research nor do enough treatment options exist for little ones who receive a cancer diagnosis. We have to do better for the sake of our children!
Will you join us?
Here are some ideas for how you can participate:
Light a candle(s), draw chalk candle designs on your driveway, or light sparklers at your home on September 17th.
Put together a set of paper luminaries to line the street outside your home.
Put together DIY luminary kits for your neighbors and make available for pick-up or drop-off. We’ve put together this great supply list you could use to gather materials. Set out your luminaries just before sunset that evening, and encourage neighbors to take a candlelit walk in honor of Mighty Millie and all pediatric cancer fighters. (Feel free to reach out to stephanie@mightymillie.org about DIY luminaries!)
Lastly, we can ALL make a difference by sharing pictures and videos of our displays to our social media accounts on the evening of the 30th using the hashtags #mightymillie #morethan4 and #childhoodcancerawarenessmonth and by tagging @mightymillie. We want our precious friends and THE WORLD to see how far and wide Millie's light shines!
